Carbon Steel Description

Hot-rolled steel coil is a steel product obtained by heating the steel billet to a high temperature and then rolling and cooling it. During its manufacturing process, the steel undergoes high-temperature treatment, so it has good processing performance and formability. The surface of hot-rolled steel coil is relatively rough and the dimensional tolerance is large, which is suitable for subsequent processing such as coating, welding and cutting.

Production process

Heating and initial rolling

The first step in the production of hot-rolled steel coils is to heat the steel billet to a high temperature of about 1100°C to 1300°C. At this high temperature, the steel becomes very soft and is convenient for subsequent rolling operations.

Finishing rolling and cooling

The heated steel billet is rolled through multiple finishing mills and gradually reduced to the required thickness. The rolled steel coil is quickly cooled to ensure its mechanical properties and dimensional stability.

Shearing and coiling

After cooling, the steel coil is sheared, cut to length, and then coiled into the required coil shape. The final hot-rolled steel coil product is packaged and shipped according to customer needs.

Quality Control

We take strict quality control measures during the production of hot-rolled steel coils to ensure that the quality of each batch of products meets international standards.

Chemical Composition Analysis

We strictly test the chemical composition of each batch of hot-rolled steel coils to ensure that they meet the corresponding material standards, such as ASTM, JIS, EN, GB and other standards, to ensure the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of steel.

Dimension and Appearance Inspection

We use high-precision measuring equipment to conduct comprehensive dimensional inspections on each coil of steel, including thickness, width, length, etc., to ensure that the product meets the customer's dimensional requirements. At the same time, we also check the surface quality of the steel coils to avoid flaws and defects.

Mechanical Performance Testing

We will conduct a series of mechanical performance tests such as tensile tests and hardness tests to ensure that the hot-rolled steel coils have sufficient strength and ductility to meet the needs of different applications.

Environmental Protection and Safety Standards

Our production process meets environmental protection standards, strictly controls the emission of waste gas, wastewater, noise, etc. during the production process, and ensures the safety and health of employees.
